Claudia Schiffer's husband is terrified she will be murdered by a fan - like John Lennon. He once found a stalker sitting in their house.
Incredibly, the filmmaker, 39, managed to keep his cool, even offering the unhinged intruder a cup of TEA.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Matthew said: "There was one time when I walked into our kitchen and there was a stranger sitting at the table with a bag."
"My initial reaction was to tell him to 'Get the f*** out'. Then I thought he might have a knife or a gun and my wife and kids were asleep upstairs. So I ended up offering him a cup of tea."
"Then I dialled 999 as I put the kettle on. He was a freak."
In 2004, Canadian Louis Brisette - who was in Britain illegally - had to be deported TWICE after turning up at the couple's Suffolk mansion.
He was first thrown out in March of that year but brazenly returned in June. Fortunately, neither Matthew nor Claudia, also 39, were at home the second time.
In 2002 Italian kitchen porter Agostino Pomata made nine visits to their home. He was sectioned under the Mental Heath Act.
Following these incidents, Matthew - director of new comic book-style movie Kick-Ass - has hired a team of ex Gurkha soldiers to protect Claudia and their kids Caspar, seven, and Clementine, five.
Matthew is delighted the Government bowed to pressure to allow the Nepalese warriors who served in UK armed forces to live here.
The campaign was led by actress Joanna Lumley, whose dad was with the 6th Gurkha Rifles for 30 years.
Matthew said: "I have a load of Gurkhas work for me because they are the greatest and nicest people. They are also great trained killers."
"If you fight for the country you deserve a British passport."
